Most people find us looking for perfume, and you can wear our designer-inspired scents as a roll-on oil or as a spray. But the range doesn't stop at what you wear. The same fragrances go into wax melts for your warmer, fragrance oils for burners and diffusers, reed diffusers for a scent that never switches off, and room sprays for a quick lift. They're interpretations, not the branded originals, and we've never pretended otherwise. We match the character of a well-known fragrance as closely as we can and we tell you exactly which one on every product page, so you always know what you're matching. We're not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any of the brands our scents are inspired by, and nothing we make is sold as theirs.

How close are they to the original?
Close enough that people ask. We work from the same fragrance families and match the character of a scent as carefully as we can, but they're interpretations rather than copies - a dupe will read a little differently on your skin, and the opening minutes are usually where you'd notice it most. What you're buying is the impression, at a fraction of the cost.
Why don't you use the designer's name in the product title?
Because they're not that brand's product and we won't imply they are. We name each scent ourselves and tell you what it's inspired by on the product page, which is the honest way round. We're not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any of the brands our scents are inspired by.
How do I find a dupe of a particular perfume?
Use the Designer Brand filter above the products, or the one in the sidebar - it'll narrow the range to everything inspired by that house. If the scent you're after isn't there, flick us a message. We're always working on new ones and we do listen to requests.
Which format should I choose?
Depends whether you want to wear it or live in it. Perfume oils and sprays are for you; wax melts, reed diffusers, room sprays and fragrance oils are for the room. Plenty of people pick one scent and take it in two directions - a spray for going out, melts for the lounge.
Do the room formats smell the same as the perfume?
They're built from the same fragrance, so yes, though a scent behaves differently in wax and in the air than it does on warm skin. Room formats tend to read a little sweeter and fuller because there's no skin chemistry shifting them about.
Are the dupes vegan and cruelty-free?
All of them. 100% vegan, never tested on animals, and phthalate-free throughout. Tested on Shannon first, never on animals.
Can I visit the studio?
You're welcome to and we'd love to meet you! Our Lyall Bay studio is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm, and we're happy to open by appointment outside those hours if that suits you better. Come and have a smell in person; it's the best way to choose. Just flick us a message if you'd like to arrange a time outside our usual hours.
Are your products really made in New Zealand?
Yes! Everything is handcrafted in small batches in our studio in Lyall Bay, Wellington. It's a genuine Kiwi maker business, not drop-shipped or mass-produced, and every product is 100% vegan and cruelty-free. Tested on Shannon first, never on animals.
What's your returns policy?
We accept returns within 30 days on unopened items in their original condition - just get in touch and we'll sort it. For hygiene reasons, opened fragrance and skincare can't be returned unless they've arrived faulty or damaged, in which case we'll always make it right. If anything's not as it should be, tell us and we'll fix it.
How much is shipping and how fast is it?
We offer free shipping on orders over $125, with flat-rate delivery under that. Orders are dispatched within one to two business days - same day if you order before 12pm - and then it's in NZ Post's hands from there. You'll get tracking so you can follow it to your door.
