Every perfume here is blended and bottled in small batches in our Lyall Bay studio. Two formats now, a third on its way, and the same scents across all of them - so the choice is simply how you like to wear fragrance.
Two ways to wear them
Perfume oils are built on certified organic fractionated coconut oil rather than alcohol, so they go on smoothly and sit close to the skin. Roll them onto warm pulse points and they warm in and stay soft and close. They're the easy choice for everyday, and for anyone who finds a spray a bit sharp on application.
Perfume sprays are built on a plant-derived alcohol distilled from sugarcane, which is what gives that classic spritz and the way the scent opens the moment it lands. A solid perfume balm, set in vegan candelilla wax, is in development in the studio.
Finding your scent
From warm ambers and orientals to fresh florals and crisp citruses, there's a scent and a format for how you actually wear fragrance. Many of ours are designer-inspired scents - honest interpretations of fragrances you already know, never counterfeits and never sold as the original. If you'd rather wear pure botanicals, our essential oil roller blends are the natural alternative.

Perfume questions
Oil, spray or balm - which one should I choose?
It comes down to how you like fragrance to sit. An oil stays close to the skin and is lovely for everyday. A spray lifts and opens straight away, so it makes more of an entrance. A balm sits closest of the three and travels beautifully. If you're not sure, start with an oil - it's the most forgiving.
Will the same scent smell the same as an oil and as a spray?
Very close, but not identical. Alcohol carries the top notes upward, so a spray reads brighter and sharper in the first few minutes. An oil skips that lift and settles almost straight into the warmer heart of the scent. Same fragrance, slightly different opening.
Are they the same as the designer originals?
They're designer-inspired, not the branded originals. We match the character of a well-known scent as closely as we can and we're always upfront that it's an interpretation, at a price that makes sense. We're not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any of the brands our scents are inspired by.
Which one lasts longest?
Wear time varies more by scent than by format - warm, sweet scents linger, fresh and citrusy ones fade sooner. That said, oils and balms tend to hold on the skin a little longer because there's no alcohol evaporating off. Moisturised skin holds any fragrance better, whichever you pick.
Are these perfumes vegan and cruelty-free?
Every one of them. 100% vegan and never tested on animals - the balm will use candelilla wax rather than beeswax for exactly that reason. Tested on Shannon first, never on animals.
Can I visit the studio?
You're welcome to and we'd love to meet you! Our Lyall Bay studio is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm, and we're happy to open by appointment outside those hours if that suits you better. Come and have a smell in person; it's the best way to choose. Just flick us a message if you'd like to arrange a time outside our usual hours.
Are your products really made in New Zealand?
Yes! Everything is handcrafted in small batches in our studio in Lyall Bay, Wellington. It's a genuine Kiwi maker business, not drop-shipped or mass-produced, and every product is 100% vegan and cruelty-free. Tested on Shannon first, never on animals.
What's your returns policy?
We accept returns within 30 days on unopened items in their original condition - just get in touch and we'll sort it. For hygiene reasons, opened fragrance and skincare can't be returned unless they've arrived faulty or damaged, in which case we'll always make it right. If anything's not as it should be, tell us and we'll fix it.
How much is shipping and how fast is it?
We offer free shipping on orders over $125, with flat-rate delivery under that. Orders are dispatched within one to two business days - same day if you order before 12pm - and then it's in NZ Post's hands from there. You'll get tracking so you can follow it to your door.
